About Ralph Sacarello, EA

Ralph Sacarello holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in accounting, and was federally licensed as an Enrolled Agent (EA) in 1986. Ralph can represent taxpayers at all administrative levels of the Internal Revenue Service in all 50 states. Regulations governing Enrolled Agents, CPAs and attorneys can be found following this link. https:\\www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/pcir230.pdf

Ralph adheres to the late Federal Judge Learned Hand’s court opinion in Gregory v. Helvering, 69 F. 2d 809-810 (2d Cir.), which states “Anyone may arrange his affairs so that his taxes shall be as low as possible; he is not bound to choose that pattern which best pays the Treasury. There is not even a patriotic duty to increase one’s taxes.” In this spirit, Ralph will zealously defend a taxpayer’s right to pay no more than the correct amount of tax and the right to challenge an IRS position and be heard.

Ralph has processed literally thousands of matters before the IRS Collection, Appeals and Exam Divisions. He is a Fellow of the highly recognized National Tax Practice Institute, and in 2008 was appointed by the Department of the Treasury to serve in the Taxpayer Advocacy Panel in Washington, D.C. for a three-year term.

He specializes in a wide variety of tax-relief and resolution services, including structuring federal tax debt settlements under the IRS’ “fresh start” initiative that includes three core offerings of tax resolution options – Offers in Compromise, Installment Agreements, and penalty abatement or tax lien releases.

Ralph personally handles all cases and takes a personal interest in each of his clients limiting the number of new clients in order to provide a high level of service and attention to each case.

Ralph is also a devout Christian, and felt a call to bring competent tax representation to taxpayers who cannot afford a tax professional. So, in March 2023, he expanded his practice and formed Tax Crisis Ministry, Inc., a non-profit corporation whose mission is to ensure the fairness and integrity of the tax system for taxpayers who are low-income or speak English as a second language.
